We had to show Wink what to do

Whitey was a pro from the start!  Poppin' eggs means TREATS!

So, we have no small children, grandchildren or little nieces or nephews in my family.  We are all old as dirt, and no one has any kids.  So, what do we do for our "babies" you may ask?  Well, of course they get an egg hunt!

My mom buys eggs that have small holes in them, and we fill them with dog treats.  It's my job to hide them, and then the pups go wild!  A few of our smaller guys needed some guidance, but once they got it, it was a free-for-all!

Right after, I had to go to work.  Yay!  Right now I'm having a crisis about my job situation. I was recently offered a serving job at a chain restaurant near my current job (which is another "chain" so to speak but not as prevalent), one which is always busy, one which is geared towards sports and beer (and we all know I LOVE those things), one where I actually got the impression of professionalism and one where I felt...welcome.

I have worked at my current job for seven years, so it would be hard to leave, and start again as the lowest man on the totem pole.  However, I am REALLY over being trapped behind the bar, and moreover, I am tired of being unappreciated and overworked.  I considered trying to do both, but there's no way.  Those who know me through work know I have a large following at the bar, so it would be difficult to leave them and my comfort zone.  I'm just not sure what to do.  I am awaiting a call on the date and time of the orientation for the new job, and I think I am going to do it, but...

  1. What a cute idea for the pups! I hate scary job decisions. I quit my job 6 months ago, after being there 8 years, to go back to school and it was such a tough decision even though I hated who I worked with. The idea of leaving all the patients that I loved really weighed heavy on my mind. I'm sure that you will make the right decision for you. I'm glad that I made the decision to go back to school and get away from a workplace that was making me so unhappy.

    1. That's just it, I am totally unhappy. So I think change may be good.

  2. Okayyyyyyy so you need to teach me how to make psychadelic eggs like that. Yep. And I'm also convinced that if we ever meet in person, we'll need to talk vintage over beer. 'Cause that'd be rad. - Charissa
