Make A List!

Okay lately I have been making a lot of beautiful friends through the blogging world, and each one is so special to me, it makes my heart burst.  I'm not much of a Twitter girl, but man... Charissa from the smashbook has got me tweeting like a bird.  I was tagged the other day in a post very similar to this one, but just different enough to inspire me. Then, Lindsey over at Snapshots of a Beautiful Life, Charissa from the smashbook, Karen Hammonds,...all these awesome chicks came out of the wood work, all with different version of lists from their lives.

My new blogging pal, Lindsey over at Snapshots of a Beautiful Life, tagged me in a post I felt encompassed all these little fun facts, experiences, concerns and sometimes issues.  So if you're not yet sick of me making numbered lists of self-indulgence, here you go.

vanity: If anything, I cannot live without my L'Oreal foundation.  I know this goes against every principle I have, since L'Oreal STILL does animal testing on some products, but that N1 is the ONLY fofoundation that works for me.  I am the honkiest   I have written L'Oreal for years, and I hope one day things will change.

to do list:: Today's photo shoot for my Etsy store, put everything together for the store, and take a MF'ing vacation because I am about to lose my shit.

itinerary: I am planning a MASSIVE road trip with John, starting here is Southern California, making our way up north to the City, hitting Oregon, Colorado and finally...Montana.

fantasy itinerary: I will go to Costa Rica to be with my sloths.  I WILL.

playlist: I am currently listening to Humans, the new JT (swoon), and my old, reliable Egyptian Lover...

nightstand: I need WATER, WATER, and MORE WATER in order to sleep.  I also like to eat things in bed and that really pleases John.  My nightstand may or may not have an empty yogurt container on it right now.

workout plan: I enjoy a workout routine I learned from my Aunt.  It's called: "brisk sitting."

iPhone: I have saved every text from my boo, gotta have my Pandora (of course), my stupid work scheduling app, and about 800 random pictures happily live there.  Plus, my case is badass.

bucket list: I will see the Scissor Sisters, Tegan and Sara, Michael McDonald and Adam Lambert before I die.  Yeah, I said Adam Lambert!

mind: I just want to get this Etsy store working, and get the hell out of this house.

liquor shelf: I serve enough liquor that I'm not really into drinking it.  However, sit a Tangerine Wheat made by Lost Coast in front of me, and I will ask for five more.

television: I am currently obsessed with Shameless, True Blood, Vikings,  Mad Men, Mob Wives, GIRLS, and ANYTHING RuPaul.

screensaver: I have a rotation of sloths, Morrissey and of course, this:

TGIF Bummer Style

I was going to do a post today that I was tagged in, and FEAR NOT, I will!  I just had a bit of bullshit go down at my house yesterday, and it left me feeling very depressed.  Whether or not y'all may have guessed, this funny girl suffers from severe depression, anxiety, and I'm also a self-harmer!  Whoo-hoo for the triple threat!  I think I hear a Demi Lovato song playing somewhere...anyway.

I woke up this morning and I just wanted to cry, and I did.  I am basically am an "Invisible Cinderella" to my parents, my interests are trivial to them, or they'll just openly mock me, just like they do my job ("You need a 9 to 5 job"), or tattoos which are "for attention" (just in case you didn't know why people get tattoos, it's because they need more attention), they think my blog is a "joke" and "who cares what YOU have to say about anything...what are your credentials???" (direct quote by the way).  How I have no money saved, how I need to pay my unpaid tickets to the county because apparently I'm Al Capone and at any minute Elliott Ness is going to roll in here and take me away, and also I don't do enough.

I think doing your breakfast dishes, drolly left for me as if I am Anna at Downton Abbey, taking out trash gingerly left 40 yards from the can, emptying a full dishwasher everyday, folding load after load of your ridiculous laundry; just to have you throw my dedicates in the dryer and say..."whoops!", the way you speak to me (more like Ike probably "spoke" to Tina), the way you openly mock or jest at anything I find to be important, ignoring me when I speak to you, brushing me aside when I try to show you something because you're "busy", and cleaning nearly your ENTIRE house every week is enough.

I have to stay here for probably three to four more months, but I was hoping I could reach out to my blogging buddies to help me stay on track with saving, making a plan for moving, etc.  I am just feeling beyond overwhelmed and very, very sad.

This blog is just a "thank-you" and (wait for it, wait for it) a "virtual hug" to my blogging friends who LITERALLY get me through everyday.  I want to recognize the people who really care.

Rebel: from the packages, to your texts, to your unconditional love and praise, I could not make it through a single day without you.  Everything you say and do brings a smile to my face, and our morning chats have really become the best part of my day.  I can't wait for this house shit to come full circle for you, so you can finally relax.  You deserve all the best things in the world.

Bethany: knowing something's wrong with me before I even know it myself, checking in on me, making CUSTOM goodies for me, always there to talk and support me and NEVER EVER JUDGING, you are a gift to me from Morrissey (he's my God, so that's pretty damn special).  Not a day goes by that I don't remember you were my first reader.  Ever.

Autumn: you are one of the most altruistic, beautiful people I have ever met, and I can't wait for my stupid ass to finish your care package...it's just I keep finding more things I want to send you!  This girl has been such an inspiration and a true doll.

Charissa: you have done nothing but support me, promote me, love me, and bring a smile to my face, and I know this is only the beginning of a beautiful friendship!

Jess: smart, strong, and again, always supportive of my issues, and I am so grateful to her for opening up my eyes and helping me accept myself...I think we are both taking our lives one day at a time, and it's always nice to know you are not alone.

So ladies, thank-you and I love you.

Feature Creature: Meet EMMA DEER!

Em is a doll!  She is one of the sweetest girls you'll ever meet, and her blog is fantastic!  I am proud to ride her sidebar, and today I am swapping out her ad for an even bigger one!  Her blog is one of my favorites because IT IS REAL.  She talks real talk, and her pictures are not a bunch of Photoshopped selfies or pictures of cats.  Not that there's anything wrong with pictures of cats.

Hey y'all! My name is Emily, but I also go by Em and Emma - all of which I love, so whatever is most comfortable for you! I blog over at Emma Deer.

Where are you from? Where do you live?
I was born and raised in a small town (small to me is 70,000) in Wisconsin. I have lived in a few different states and several cities, but am now settled (or at least trying to settle) into a tiny town of 2,800 people in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It is gorgeous up here, but definitely takes some getting used to. I've been getting used to it for a year and a half!

What do you blog about?
Emma Deer started as a personal blog and creative outlet back in June 2012. I wanted to share my photography while staying in touch with family and friends back home. It has grown into a lifestyle blog where I share my adventures, thrift finds and vintage scores, recipes, my favorite things, my personal style, pretty photography and so much more. Won't you stop by and say hello?

What are some of your hobbies or interest outside of the blogosphere?
Is there such a thing as outside of the blogosphere?! Hehe, but really - I do spend a lot of my time social networking and reading blogs because they are inspiring and I love being inspired. I also love attempting to cook new recipes, cuddling with my rescue pups, creating things and scouting for vintage my shop, fawn+feather, and I am constantly stocking my photo shop, Oh Deer Photography, with fun new prints inspired by my three favorite kinds of photography: macro, nature and animal/pets!

Tell us more about yourself.

Well, to sum it up for y'all: I'm about to turn 27 but still feel like I'm 16 and will never grow up! I am a small town girl with big city dreams. I have been in the same relationship for seven years and we are in no rush to get married, we have no children - well, we do have three fur babies: a recently adopted two-year-old Dachshund named Chloe, a 3.5 year old Dachshund/Pointer mix named Calla Lily and a nine year Persian mix kitty named Buddha... oh! and several fish. I am blessed to currently work a "9-5" job for a wonderful health care organization, except that I do it from the comfort of my home. Working from home isn't as much as it's cracked up to be, though! It gets very lonely, which is another reason I started my blog. I love the blogging community and meeting new, like-minded people and encourage y'all to stop by!

Much love,
♥ Emma Deer
