Okay Allison: Feature Creature: Meet EMMA DEER!

Em is a doll! She is one of the sweetest girls you'll ever meet, and her blog is fantastic! I am proud to ride her sidebar, and today I am swapping out her ad for an even bigger one! Her blog is one of my favorites because IT IS REAL. She talks real talk, and her pictures are not a bunch of Photoshopped selfies or pictures of cats. Not that there's anything wrong with pictures of cats.

Hey y'all! My name is Emily, but I also go by Em and Emma - all of which I love, so whatever is most comfortable for you! I blog over at Emma Deer.

Where are you from? Where do you live?

I was born and raised in a small town (small to me is 70,000) in Wisconsin. I have lived in a few different states and several cities, but am now settled (or at least trying to settle) into a tiny town of 2,800 people in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It is gorgeous up here, but definitely takes some getting used to. I've been getting used to it for a year and a half!

What do you blog about?

Emma Deer started as a personal blog and creative outlet back in June 2012. I wanted to share my photography while staying in touch with family and friends back home. It has grown into a lifestyle blog where I share my adventures, thrift finds and vintage scores, recipes, my favorite things, my personal style, pretty photography and so much more. Won't you stop by and say hello?

What are some of your hobbies or interest outside of the blogosphere?

Is there such a thing as outside of the blogosphere?! Hehe, but really - I do spend a lot of my time social networking and reading blogs because they are inspiring and I love being inspired. I also love attempting to cook new recipes, cuddling with my rescue pups, creating things and scouting for vintage my shop, fawn+feather, and I am constantly stocking my photo shop, Oh Deer Photography, with fun new prints inspired by my three favorite kinds of photography: macro, nature and animal/pets!

Tell us more about yourself.

Well, to sum it up for y'all: I'm about to turn 27 but still feel like I'm 16 and will never grow up! I am a small town girl with big city dreams. I have been in the same relationship for seven years and we are in no rush to get married, we have no children - well, we do have three fur babies: a recently adopted two-year-old Dachshund named Chloe, a 3.5 year old Dachshund/Pointer mix named Calla Lily and a nine year Persian mix kitty named Buddha... oh! and several fish. I am blessed to currently work a "9-5" job for a wonderful health care organization, except that I do it from the comfort of my home. Working from home isn't as much as it's cracked up to be, though! It gets very lonely, which is another reason I started my blog. I love the blogging community and meeting new, like-minded people and encourage y'all to stop by!
